Phares Hall Effect Sensors are reliable, precise, and robust non-contact magnetic switches (NPN) that detect motion or position, including for RPM measurement and process control. They are ideal for applications in automation, manufacturing, power plants, agriculture, robotics, and automotive industries. They feature omnipolar operation, activating with either a north or south magnetic field.

Phares Digital Output Hall Effect Sensors produce a digital square wave as magnetic targets pass the sensor. Pulse frequency corresponds to target speed and the number of targets passing the sensor. This digital output is compatible with PLCs, VFDs, DCS, and other devices that measure frequency directly, including Phares Industrial Tachometers and Zero Speed Switch Modules.

Designed for a fast, clean install, most Phares Hall Effect Sensors have 1/2″ NPT threads that seal directly to 1/2″ conduit.

The sensors come in various barrel lengths, giving you more flexibility for mounting and bracket placement.

For applications requiring long cable runs, a Phares Terminal Strip Assembly (TSA) box simplifies mounting and termination.

Phares Digital Output Hall Effect Sensors have an NPN (sinking) output; PNP (sourcing) output is available.
